Writing for yourself is a great way to get the ball rolling on self-produced projects.

Sign-up for this one-day intensive for an introductory crash course in how to get moving on this modern career building technique.  You'll learn about the basic ingredients of screenwriting so you can try your hand at crafting projects that truly represent who YOU can be in this industry.  You'll also learn the differences between each script medium in Film, TV, shorts and webseries and what makes for a strong script for every medium.

Jessica Rotondi

Jessica is a working writer, director, comedian, actress, and casting director. She feels working in multiple disciplines only strengthens her abilities. She’s worked for a variety of production companies and casting directors, including Magnet Entertainment where she assisted on the film Adaptation.

She graduated with her BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and her MFA in Film from the Columbia Grad Film program. Many of her past projects have been honored in festivals and script contests. She also had a webseries she writes for optioned by the BET Network. Some other career highlights include: Semifinals in the Sundance Writers Lab, a Student Academy nomination, an Audience Choice Award in the Columbia Film Festival, and an award in the New York TV Festival (NYTVF). 

For the last few years she’s worked as a Screenwriting Teacher and Script Doctor for a number of schools and companies.Most recently she has been a professor for screenwriting, directing, producing and directing actors for New York Institute of Technology, Hofstra University and Five Towns College. She is currently developing a new TV pilot and writing a feature script for an LA production company. She also does standup comedy and has performed all over NY and LA, including at many of the top comedy clubs.
