Our NEW TV Hosting Connection Weekend Intensive is the best way to gain on-camera hosting & communication skills that merge solid traditional on-air training with today's cutting edge hosting skills and connect with the movers & shakers in the Hosting & Programming world.
You'll have TWO full days to polish your hosting skills, think on your feet, learn how to work with bullet points, Teleprompter, how to bring out your point of view, and put your personal stamp on your communication & story telling skills. You also learn how to improve your audition skills to book TV hosting jobs. You'll come up with your own show or segment concept and our training will help prepare you to bring it to life on Sunday in front of some of NY's top Hosting Agents, Casting Directors and a Producer/ Content Developer who helps create and pitch shows to networks.
Taught by the best-of-the-best from the East Coast TV Hosting Industry, Patricia Stark and Todd Miller will mentor you with their extensive knowledge and unique coaching styles. They will focus on the essentials of hosting such as how to nail the audition, branding yourself, improving your read, how to create and polish your demo reel, mastering the teleprompter/ear prompter and how to get the representation that best suits you!
There will also be live field exercises, improv interviews, copy exercises and audition simulations. This exclusive on-camera workshop offers a unique experience for hosts to network with other hosts, perfect their craft in a positive, supportive environment and be seen and coached by an actual casting director-Todd Miller, and a media coach & established host who has worked on over 25 different television shows-Patricia Stark.
The weekend will finish with a final showcase to FIVE Top NY Hosting Agents, Casting Directors and the Producer/Content Developer. The format will begin with Q & A where you'll have YOUR chance to ask specific questions all about the TV hosting/broadcast industry. After the Q & A, you will showcase your work ON CAMERA in front of the panel.

After several years casting scripted film, theater and television, Jamie Carroll made the transition into Lifestyle Television. Jamie has worked with numerous leading Production Houses throughout New York, casting talent for major networks such as: Food Network, HGTV, MTV, Fine Living Network and Travel Channel, with an emphasis on Hosts and Experts. Jamie is currently working on projects for RAW Productions, AOL and VPEtalent and recently wrapped projects for BBC-A, casting host talent for an upcoming Lux Real Estate Series and a limited series for National Geographic.

Patricia Stark is a Certified Personal & Executive Coach (CPEC of the CaPP Institute -Coaching & Positive Psychology) & a Certified Body Language Trainer (Body Language Institute Washington DC) and holds certificates in Eclectic Cognitive Behavior Therapy & Visualization/Guided Imagery (LIU). She heads Patricia Stark Communications and specializes in helping clients build their Calmfidence® in interviews, on-camera, and in daily life with tangible strategies for powerful communication skills, mastering self talk, and stress & anxiety relievers used by the pros.
Patricia has extensive experience as a health & medical news anchor, radio interview host, and appears regularly as a TV guest expert on the topics of communication and confidence.
