After another successful event in October, Actors Connection is thrilled to yet again work alongside The Little Theatre of Alexandria for another fantastic weekend focusing on Film, Television, Theater, Commercials and Voice Overs.! The event includes SIX of NY's most noteworthy Casting Directors, Directors and Producers who are excited to work with actors in the DC market!

Actors Connection and The Little Theatre of Alexandria developed a comprehensive program that provides the actor with an unparalleled opportunity to study, train and network in a focused, supportive environment. 

Event highlights:

• Attend SIX Film, Television, Theater, Commercial and Voice Over Master Classes • Kick off weekend with a business class and orientation • Obtain feedback from all industry guests and participate in Q&A sessions • Receive recorded work after the event (sessions will be recorded)

The largest educational and networking studio in NYC, Actors Connection has connected young actors with leading talent agents, casting directors and personal managers since 1991. Whether an actor is seeking representation, focusing on new areas of the acting business, striving to improve auditioning skills or simply networking, Actors Connection provides all the necessary tools for success.

Scheduled guests include: Maria Hubbard, Casting Director/former TV Network Casting Maria shares her experiences from over 12 years in casting, including her years at the FOX network and as an independent casting director and casting associate, culminating in casting over 100 episodes of television. Including her years as an agent's assistant at The Gersh Agency, Maria's unique perspective makes her a sought after guest lecturer at undergrad and MFA programs across the country. She now coaches actors in all stages of their career - from audition prep to on-set acting coach, Maria works with actors so that they can be confident in their choices and deliver their best work.

Lisa Donadio, Associate Casting Director, Playwrights Horizons Lisa currently works at Playwrights Horizons, one of the most highly respected Off-Broadway Theaters in New York City. Casting for over 9 years, Lisa's credits include: The Flick (PH and Barrow Street), Clybourne Park (B'way and PH), Familiar, Hir, The Christians, Detroit, Circle, Mirror, Transformation, Stage Kiss, Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play, Rapture Blister Burn, Present Laughter with Victor Garber for The Huntington Theatre and Roundabout. TV credits include: Knights of Prosperity aka Let's Rob Mick Jagger (ABC). Other theaters include: Huntington Theatre, Seattle Rep, ACT in San Francisco, Berkeley Rep, Alley Theatre, Arena in DC, Women's Project. Festivals include: Williamstown and Humana. Casting Director credits include: Smart People and Bright Half Life for the Kitchen Theatre and Villa at The Play Company. Lisa is currently casting Dance Nation and Log Cabin at Playwrights, and Bad Dates at the Huntington Theatre.

Brette Goldstein, CD/Producer, Brette Goldstein Casting Formerly the resident casting director at Washington, DC's Folger Elizabethan Theatre for nine seasons, Brette is currently one of the producers on the film UNTITLED PLAYGROUND PROJECT and the independent pilot "Figuring it Out" plus ongoing commercials. Recent credits include: HEDGEHOG (with Madeline Brewer and EMMY winner Ann Dowd), the comedy series DONNY! (USA), the pilot presentation for ODD MOM OUT (BRAVO), 3 seasons of I LOVE YOU, BUT I LIED (LMN), the miniseries THE CARS THAT MADE AMERICA for The History Channel, the films EL CAMINO (starring Elisabeth Moss) and CRAZY FAMOUS (with Ajay Naidu and Catherine Curtin), REACHING HOME (with Debra Monk), as well as several pilot presentations, including the "Untitled Micah Sherman Project" for Left/Right. She has cast over 150 commercials, 100 plays, several television and new media projects.

Judy Bowman, Casting Director, Judy Bowman Casting Congratulations to Judy on her Nomination for Excellence in Casting! Judy has been casting in New York City since 1993. Current projects include: T-11 (feature film), THE PLAGUE (feature film), BUCK DAVIS (feature film), A BELLEVUE LOVE STORY (feature film), BIG DOGS (TV series), Dorset Theatre Festival Summer Season, PERFECT TEETH (NYC), and A DOLL'S HOUSE PART 2 (Actors Theatre of Louisville). Now playing: DUTCH MASTERS (Wild Project/dir. Andre Holland), THEATER MASTERS:TAKE TEN FESTIVAL (Rattlestick), ISSEI, HE SAY (NJ Rep). Jean-Marc Berne, V/O Producer, Director and Coach Jean-Marc is president of Berne Media Enterprises a creative media consulting and production company - and a busy bilingual voice talent and voice over coach. His list of commercial work includes Bud Light, McDonald's, Western Union, Timberland, Pollo Loco, McKinsey, Pfizer, VNSNY, Xfinity, NFHA, HUD, National Alliance of Public Charter Schools, Metro Cable and Eclipse Gum to name a few. Jean-Marc has also voiced the role of the World Grand Prix commentator for Disney Pixar's ‘Cars 2' online video game and is Voice Over Coach for Disney's ‘The Octonauts.' He also freelances as a Voice Over coach who specializes in the production of Commercial, Audiobook and Character Voice Over Demos.

Barry Shapiro, CD/Owner, Herman and Lipson Casting A fabulous opportunity to work with one of the TOP CD's in town with over 30 years experience in casting. Barry's recently cast commercials for GOOGLE, TACO BELL, McDONALDS, NFL, REVLON, MILLER BEER, DICK'S SPORTING GOODS, VOLKSWAGEN, BAYER ASPIRIN and MACARONI GRILL to name a few. Barry has been known to call in actors direct from his class for principal auditions. Certainly an opportunity not to be missed.
