Here's your opportunity to work on your comedic skills with this top NY Casting Director who casts for all types of film, tv, webseries, commercials, and theater (Union and Non-Union).

Get your comedy chops on! Raise your comedic acting to a competitive, more confident level with this comedy class. Having trouble deciphering comedic material? Are you asking yourself ‘How do I make this funny?' Do you have stand up, improv training/experience but are having difficulty applying it to scripted material? Comedic content can be dry, dark, witty, subtle, broad, campy… the list goes on and on! Learn specific tools and skills in this workshop that will focus on accentuating and tailoring your brand of humor and comedic style to your acting:

• A focus on honing in on and trusting YOUR creative ideas and details. • Owning, facing and using your fears and nerves in a smart, clever and effective way. • Making the best use of non-verbal improv. • Understanding and making use of breakdowns to help not only with character preparation but also pinpointing key elements in the breakdown to clarify the comedic style and tone that makes sense for the project. • Get a comprehensive understanding and clarification for expectations of directors and producers as it relates to comedic acting, as well as overall professionalism.

For this intensive, Erica will select comedic sides based on your HS/resume submission which you will receive and prepare 1-2 days in advance.

Erica has a passion for comedy and storytelling that she loves to explore. She graduated from Level 1 and 2 improv at The PIT, participated in the show MORTIFIED and recently performed an inspiring story at The MAGNET as part of a storytelling class she took.
