Here's your opportunity to work with one of the busiest Film Casting offices in New York who is currently casting for SIX films

Recent projects include: the indie films HEATHER, CALL ME LUKE, THE NETWORKER, A CRY FROM WITHIN, CLINTON ROAD, NIGHT SWEATS, OILED UP, THE CATALYST, THE NEXT PAGE, SATURDAY IN THE PARK, the pilots A BEAUTIFUL DISTRACTION, WHOLLY BROKEN, LITTLE WEST 12TH STREET and web series EXILED OUT EAST and ALMOST ANONYMOUS.

The evening will start off with an informative Q & A followed by your presentation of a scene that Donna will assign you that evening with a reader ON-CAMERA in a group. Be prepared to take feedback and adjustments.

Donna McKenna, CSA, is an international award-winning casting director and producer for independent feature films, short films, pilots and web series. Her ensemble casts consist of critically acclaimed actors from film, television, Broadway and emerging talent. To date, she is responsible for casting numerous projects that have helped hundreds of non-union actors become SAG-AFTRA eligible. Some of her films have been invited to screen at renowned film festivals, including the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Woodstock Film Festival, Dances with Films, Milan, The LA Film Festival, Holly Shorts and the Berlin Film Festival. In 2014, she proudly discovered three upcoming actors whom she met through various workshops and cast them alongside Eric Roberts, Sean Young, Federico Castelluccio and Armand Assante in her film Leaves of the Tree, which was filmed in Italy and Texas. Leaves of the Tree won several awards in festivals worldwide, including the Casting Award of Merit at the IndieFest Film Festival, and went on to be theatrically released in 42 cities in October of 2016. Donna is a proud member of the Casting Society of America, an appointed board member on the Suffolk County Film Commission and a jury judge at many respectable film festivals.

She is known for discovering new & unique talent, as well as recognizing the seasoned professionals who have the desire to take risks and play against type. When Donna is casting a role, she does not care whether an actor is union or non-union- if they have talent and are right for the role, she will cast them!

She has cast and produced independent features, short films, television shows, audio shows, pilots and web series, many of which have received theatrical distribution and can been seen on Amazon Prime, iTunes, Apple TV, AMC, Direct TV and Netflix. Her films have also screened at prestigious films festivals such as The Tribeca Film Festival, Festival de Cannes, Berlin International Film Festival, the Milan Film Festival as well as numerous Oscar Qualifying Film Festivals. She is known for putting together stellar ensemble casts, consisting of critically acclaimed actors from film, television and Broadway as well as new and upcoming talent.
