Jason Blitman is currently the Assistant Artistic Director and Casting Director for Theatreworks USA where he casts nearly 100 actors in over 20 Equity national tours year round.

Theatreworks USA is the largest non-profit provider of children's and family theater in the country, and offers many employment opportunities for New York actors. Theatreworks USA is often the job that gives an actor their Equity Card!

Jason also serves as the Casting Director for Two Beans Productions.

Previously, Jason worked as a freelance director where he assisted on the New York Philharmonic productions of the Emmy-winning SWEENEY TODD starring Emma Thompson and Bryn Terfel and SHOW BOAT starring Vanessa Williams and Norm Lewis; assisted Roger Rees on the new musical DOG AND PONY at The Old Globe; assisted Michael Grief on readings of the new musicals DEAR EVAN HANSON and A WALK ON THE MOON; directed INTO THE WOODS on Fire Island, SKYLINE, a new musical at the New York International Fringe Festival, and is developing multiple new musicals with up-and-coming writing teams.

Jason has also worked in the artistic department of The Public Theater where he worked on projects such as: PUBLIC SINGS!, PERFECTLY MARVELOUS: AN EVENING WITH ANNE HATHAWAY AND FRIENDS, and over 40 productions including INTELLIGENT HOMOSEXUAL'S GUIDE..., THE APPLE FAMILY PLAYS, and FUN HOME.

Jason is interested in meeting actors of all types/ethnicities 18+, who are union and non-union for their numerous upcoming projects.
