Here's your opportunity to work with one of the busiest Film Casting offices in New York who is currently casting for THREE films.
Donna has cast over 25 independent feature films, 9 short films and 4 web series. Her ensemble casts consist of not only award winning actors from film, television and Broadway but she has discovered and cast new up and coming actors. Some of her films have been invited to screen at renowned film festivals including the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and the Berlin Film Festival. Her recent film Trust Me, I'm a Lifeguard premiered at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival and many of her films have won numerous festival awards.
Recently she cast and produced the film Leaves of the Trees which stars Academy Award Nominee Eric Roberts, Emmy Award Winner Armand Assante, Sean Young and Federico Castelluccio and was filmed on location in Sicily. Academy Award Nominees Eric Roberts and Cathy Moriarty star in her film A Cry From Within and her theatrical released dramedy Excuse Me for Living stars Emmy Award Nominee Jerry Stiller, 3 time Emmy Award Winner Dick Cavett, 2 time Emmy Award Winners Christopher Lloyd and Tom Pelphrey and an all star cast. Donna is extremely passionate about every project she is involved in and her recent works show that her genuine likeable personality mixed with her many skills and abilities makes her a casting director that many actors want to work with again and again.
The evening will start off with an informative Q & A followed by your presentation of the scene with a reader ON-CAMERA in a group. Be prepared to take feedback and adjustments.
Currently, Donna is interested in meeting talent of all types and ethnicities 18+ for current and future projects. Her office is known for calling in actors directly and they've booked too!
She is known for discovering unique new talent as well as recognizing the seasoned professionals whom have the desire to take risks and play against type. When Donna is casting a role it does not make a difference to her if an actor is union or non-union, if they have talent and are right for the role she will cast them. To date she has been responsible for 93 non-union actors becoming SAG.

Donna McKenna is an award-winning, international casting director, producer, and educator, with more than 20 years of experience. She has cast and produced independent features, short films, television shows, audio shows, pilots and web series, many of which have received theatrical distribution and can been seen on Amazon Prime, iTunes, Apple TV, AMC, Direct TV and Netflix. Her films have also screened at prestigious films festivals such as The Tribeca Film Festival, Festival de Cannes, Berlin International Film Festival, the Milan Film Festival as well as numerous Oscar Qualifying Film Festivals. She is known for putting together stellar ensemble casts, consisting of critically acclaimed actors from film, television and Broadway as well as new and upcoming talent. Donna is a proud member of the Casting Society of America, New York Women in Film & TV and is a Member of the Board of the Suffolk County Film Commission.
