Here's your chance to work ON CAMERA with one of NY's top film and TV casting directors.

Currently, she's in pre-production/production for SIX feature/indie films: GHOST TEAM for Tandem Pictures, DEVIL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA for CPlus Pictures, THREE GENERATIONS, CHRISTINE, THIS SHINING CITY (Dir. William Wedig and starring Brad Dourif) and FRIENDS AND FOES (Dir. Alan Brown).

Stephanie also just finished casting: AVA'S POSSESSIONS (Dir. Jordan Galland), LICENSE PLATES (Dir. Marc Lucas), IN THE STUDIO (Dir. Alan Brown), HOW HE FELL IN LOVE (Dir. Marc Meyers), LOT 451 starring Jason Patric and Mark Margolis as well as SUBJECT ZERO for the same producers and the indie feature JANE WANTS A BOYFRIEND.

This intensive will start off with an informative Q&A followed by your presentation of a COLD SCENE with a reader ON-CAMERA in a group. Stephanie will coach your material giving adjustments and feedback on your work which will surely impact your next audition!

Upbeat and always busy, Stephanie recent projects include the feature film LIFE OF CRIME starring Jennifer Aniston, Mos Def, Tim Robbins, Will Forte, and Isla Fisher, that is being released on Aug 29th, the film GREATER starring Neal McDonough, Culling Hens, Wildlike, The Lifeguard, Supporting Characters, Five Dances, Spaz, Audrey Hepburn's Neck for director Alan Brown, McKinley, A Novel Romance, the feature film Margaret written and directed by Kenneth Lonergan starring Matt Damon, Anna Paquin and Matthew Broderick.

Past casting credits include the features The Happening, Lady in the Water and The Village for M. Night Shyamalan, Margot at the Wedding and The Squid and the Whale for Noah Baumbach, Trust the Man, Little Manhattan, and Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic. Recent independent film credits include The Harvest, It's Not You, Love Comes Lately, The Babysitters, Superheroes, and Goodbye Baby. TV casting credits include: The Practice, Roseanne, Chappelle's Show and the sketch comedy series Human Giant for MTV.

Stephanie is interested in meeting talent of All Types-All Ethnicities (18+) and has called in "countless" AC actors from previous seminars, BOOKING many! Stephanie called in several actors from her last visit to AC and one booked a principal role!

Stephanie Holbrook

Stephanie Holbrook is a Casting Director with extensive credits in both Film and TV from three markets: San Francisco, Los Angeles, and her current home base of New York City.

Stephanie was on the casting team for Glass, Isle of Dogs, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, We Own The Night, The Squid and The Whale, Margot at the Wedding, Margaret, Failure to Launch, The Village and Lady In the Water, among others.  As an independent Casting Director, she has multiple film credits that have premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, most recently The Wolf Hour (with Naomi Watts) and Abe (Noah Schnapp Stranger Things) in 2019. Stephanie cast The Kindergarten Teacher (with Maggie Gyllenhaal) and Madeline’s Madeline (with Molly Parker and Miranda July) both of which premiered at Sundance 2018, and both of which Stephanie earned Artios Awards for. 

Stephanie was casting director for the first two seasons of THE SINNER (with Jessica Biel, Bill Pullman, Carrie Coon) on the USA Network and just finished casting the third season of the hit M. Night Shyamalan Apple TV series SERVANT as well as the upcoming Amazon Prime series OUTER RANGE.

A member of the Casting Society of America, Stephanie is a multiple-nominee and multiple-winner for Excellence in Casting and a previous recipient of an Artios Award for her participation in the successful effort to unionize Casting Directors.
