Are you ready to take control of your acting career? Are you ready to create a star vehicle for you as a performer? If so, then don't miss this new class!

Working with Jessica, you'll learn how to create compelling characters that are right for you as an actor, as well as a successful series or short film idea. From there, you'll develop the world of your series/short film, come up with a plotline/multiple episode ideas, and workshop the outline and script for the pilot/short film.

Every step of the way, you'll be given Jessica's guidance and support, and well as writing exercises to work on your writing challenges. In your last class, Jessica will go over production and help you come up with a plan to shoot your project/webseries/short film and get it into production!

Jessica has been featured and given awards at several film/TV festivals and writing contests, and can help you understand what will make your project stand out in the industry!

Jessica is a working writer, director, actress, and casting director. She feels working in multiple disciplines only strengthens her abilities. She's worked for a variety of production companies and casting directors, including Magnet Entertainment where she assisted on the film Adaptation. She graduated with her BFA in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and her MFA in Film from the Columbia Grad Film program. Many of her past projects have been honored in festivals and script contests. She also recently had a webseries she writes for optioned by the BET Network. Some other career highlights include: Semifinals in the Sundance Writers Lab, a Student Academy Award Nomination, a Finalist two times in The New York TV Festival, and a Finalist in The TV Guide Writing Contest.

For the last few years she's worked as a Screenwriting Teacher and Script Doctor for a number of schools and companies. She is currently developing a new TV pilot and two feature scripts, and had a feature script she wrote optioned by an established production company.

She graduated with her BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and her MFA in Film from the Columbia Grad Film program. For the last few years she’s worked as a Screenwriting Teacher and Script Doctor for a number of schools and companies.Most recently she has been a professor for screenwriting, directing, producing and directing actors for New York Institute of Technology, Hofstra University and Five Towns College. She is currently developing a new TV pilot and writing a feature script for an LA production company. She also does standup comedy and has performed all over NY and LA, including at many of the top comedy clubs.
