INTRO TO VOICEOVERS-3 Week V/O Class with Carrie Faverty, Head of Casting, Sound Lounge

3 Week Class. Our new HIT V/O class is perfect for someone who has always been interested in voice overs but doesn't know where to begin.

Over the course of three weeks, you'll learn how to approach various types of voice over copy. Starting with the basics, Carrie will work with you on radio, tv, promo and commercials copy that require different reads. You'll also learn the basics of working in a V/O booth plus lots of inside tips from someone who is constantly casting voice-overs and working with V/O actors.

Limited to 12 actors.

Carrie Faverty is the Head of the Casting Department for television and radio commercials at Sound Lounge. In her years at Sound Lounge, she has cast for both voice overs and on camera commercials for thousands of products. In addition to the commercials, she has cast webisodes, animated pilots, narrations, promos, and recently cast the award winning short film, They Say. She also teaches voice over classes in a continuing effort to find and develop new talent. With this background, as well as her previous years employment at one of New York's premier talent agencies, she has developed the expertise to provide thoughtful and precise direction for auditions.

Carrie came into this world knowing two things: she loved to talk, and she loved to boss people around.  So it seemed a future career in VO casting was inevitable.  Now, with over 15 years of experience, Carrie has cast voices for thousands of brands, as well as webisodes, animated pilots, animatics, narrations, promos, and short films.

She also has a vast history of casting for foreign language projects that helped to expand her network of contacts around the globe.  Some of those languages include, Spanish, French, Japanese, Swedish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, Danish, Russian, Egyptian, as well as many others.

In her continuing effort to find and develop new talent, Carrie also teaches voice over classes.  It’s this background and experience, plus her previous years at one of New York’s top talent agencies that have provided her with the expertise to find the perfect voice for any project. Carrie has been quoted in several industry publications and speaks often at industry events.

Unrelated, she is also one of the biggest Tom Jones fans you’ll find and has seen him in concert multiple times.  Feel free to ask her about it.
