This event is in the past.

Make the most out of every commercial audition with this top commercial duo who will teach you how to make bold commercial choices and improve your "show" business savy in a fun, safe environment!

Each class will start with a Q&A where they will discuss your business on and off the camera and how it relates to your experiences and how to maximize yourself. They will also be getting you up and on camera using CURRENT commercial copy while utilizing improv games and a bit of Meisner discipline thrown in to get you IN THE MOMENT!. The first four weeks, David and Rebecca will alternate teaching and in the final class they will teach together.

Your first class we will work in a very relaxed atmosphere on how to get Back to the Basics! Here we will also cover common misnomers, pet peeves and how to find the 'professional' in you and how to do it Right! Ask the questions. Agents and Casting Directors are constantly asking about Improvisation technique and experience. Here we will go through using improv with and without commercial copy!

In week two, we will discuss different aspects to the business and how to maximize your time in front of an industry professional. We'll help you to understand your type, perception and where you fit in. Next we will talk about how questions can REALLY be the answer to your auditions. We will work on single copy and will look at how to make BOLD choices and how to incorporate improv into your audition. We will push your creativity in ways that you wouldn't expect. We will teach you how to do it WRONG and get the callback 🙂

In your third week, David will lead a discussion on how you're doing and what are you doing out there in the business. Next, you will work on more improv games. When you take the commercial copy and truly make it your own. You can create your own commercial. How can you create something that the Agency wants to see? What do the creatives pick up when you are auditioning?

Week four is all about Real People Casting and how to make you into a viable "real person". On-camera. What will set you apart from the rest of the "Real People" that are auditioning? What can you put into your audition that can really utilize your improvisation skills and commercial technique to your benefit?

Your final week will be with both David and Rebecca where they will go over your audition style, give feedback on your headshot and resume and they will go over the tools at your disposal to continue to market yourself. We will get you up and on camera and throw any and all types of audition situations at you and reinforce how improv games can make any audition successful!!!
