Musical Theater Audition MASTER CLASS with Jason Styres CSA, Casting Director, Jay Binder Casting

Actors Connection is honored to have Jason teaching this ONE NIGHT ONLY Musical Theater Audition Master Class.

For this Master Class, please prepare 2 contrasting songs and bring your book as Jason may want to hear something additional. The evening will start off with a Q & A, and then each actor will perform for Jason using your prepared material in a group format. He will coach, give direction and offer possible recommendations of material to "check out" if what you are currently using doesn't "work".

Jason is a casting director at Binder Casting, which has cast over 70 Broadway shows. He casts such Broadway shows as the critically acclaimed and highly nominated A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder, the upcoming Dames at Sea (Randy Skinner, dir./chor.), The Lion King (Broadway and National Tour), and previously Nice Work If You Can Get It. He is also the casting director of the National Tour of Irving Berlin's White Christmas (Randy Skinner, chor.), and the prestigious NY City Center Encores! series, including this season's Little Me, Most Happy Fella, and Irma la Douce. He was also the casting director of the three-time Emmy nominated production of Carousel, produced by the NY Philharmonic/PBS. He recently began to further venture into television working on the smash hit television show So You Think You Can Dance and the highly praised HBO documentary Six by Sondheim. He has worked with such directors/choreographers as Kathleen Marshall, Darko Tresnjak, Warren Carlyle, Casey Nicholaw, John Rando, Josh Bergasse, John Doyle, James Lapine, and of course Randy Skinner, amongst many others.
