Always SOLD OUT… this is your chance to work with one of the industry's finest continuously casting for Pippin, Chicago, We Will Rock You, The Tempest, Travesites, Radio City… and more! We are thrilled to have Duncan teaching this NEW 3-week class at AC.

He will cover audition preparation for the singing actor emphasizing development of act-able, specific and personal choices which remain alive as you perform a song again and again. Believing that there is no 'one way' to approach a song or actor, Duncan focuses in on the acting/story-telling within a song and gives unique and personalized feedback to each individual in the class. The class will focus on a variety of songs to use for appointment auditions but the techniques learned and developed are applicable to any cut of music. Duncan will be working with all different styles including traditional, contemporary and pop musical theater. Be prepared to learn new music and work on a weekly basis incorporating feedback from the week before.

For the first class, please have your number one audition song ready to go so Duncan can see how you are currently representing yourself. In addition, please bring your ENTIRE book as well as a picture and resume.

The first week, Duncan will be focusing on TRADITIONAL songs, week 2 being POP and week 3 being CONTEMPORARY. By the end of this class, you should be ready to kill any audition in these 3 genres, which clearly are all necessary for today's Musical Theater market.

For over 6 years, Duncan was the Director of Casting for National Artists Management Company (NAMCO) where he cast numerous projects for legendary Broadway producers, Barry and Fran Weissler including the 2010 Tony Award winning Broadway production and National tour of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES and the West End premiere of Neil LaBute's FAT PIG. Duncan also works with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as their Broadway Casting Consultant for HAIRSPRAY, SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER and CHICAGO THE MUSICAL. Other credits include: Great Lakes Theater production of GUYS & DOLLS, the Vegas Beach Boys musical, SURF directed by Kristin Hanggi, the West End production of THRILLER LIVE (US casting), New York's RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR, Carnegie Hall's ‘COMMUNTIY SING', David Cromer's YANK!, the Menier Chocolate Factory's TERRIBLE ADVICE (UK) and numerous productions at Playwrights Horizons, Huntington Theater, Long Wharf, Coconut Grove, The Old Globe and North Shore Music Theatre.

Duncan has been a TV guest judge and panelist for ABC’s Emmy-winning, “Extreme Weight Loss” and Broadway TV’s “Next Broadway Star” and is often booked as a guest lecturer and seminar/workshop leader for numerous colleges, studios and universities in the US, Canada and UK.  Mr. Stewart is an Artios Award winner and proud member of the Casting Society of America (CSA).
