MUSICAL THEATER Audition Master Class with Stephen Kopel, Casting Director, Roundabout Theatre Company and Jim Carnahan Casting

Thursday, April 17, 2014, 7pm ET / 4pm PT

This event is in the past.

From one of the busiest and most prestigious Broadway casting offices in NY, Actors Connection is thrilled to have Stephen teaching this ONE NIGHT ONLY Musical Theater Audition Master Class.

For this Master Class, please prepare 2 contrasting songs and bring your book as Stephen may want to hear something additional. The evening will start off with a Q & A, and then each actor will perform for Stephen using your prepared material in a group format. He will coach, give direction and offer possible recommendations of material to "check out" if what you are currently using doesn't "work".

Stephen Kopel serves as casting director for Roundabout Theatre Company and Jim Carnahan Casting. As casting director his credits include the Broadway productions of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Once (2012 Tony Award for Best Musical), Harvey, Anything Goes (2011 Tony Award for Best Revival), Don't Dress for Dinner, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, The Road to Mecca, The Scottsboro Boys, The People in the Picture, Sondheim on Sondheim & Hedda Gabler. Off-Broadway: The Common Pursuit (Roundabout), Once (A.R.T & NYTW), The Scottsboro Boys (Vineyard & Guthrie), The Milktrain Doesn't Stop Here Anymore (Roundabout), The Tin Pan Alley Rag (Roundabout), Suddenly Last Summer (Roundabout). Regional credits include productions for the American Repertory Theatre, Ford's Theatre, Marriott Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare, Bay Street Theatre, Old Globe, The Guthrie & Hartford Stage.
