FILM INTENSIVE with Steve Vincent, Casting Director, Palm Star Entertainment

7:00 pm - Here's your opportunity to work with a casting director from one of the most prominent film casting offices in town! Steve casts primarily feature and indie films. Currently, he is working on 9 different feature/indie films including the feature film version of National Book Award finalist "Sold" for Academy Award winning filmmaker Jeffrey D. Brown.

Steve alongside Sig De Miguel is also currently casting the remake of the Cannes film "We Are What We Are" TIFF Audience Award Winning Director Jim Mickle; "Stano" for Academy Award Winning Director John G. Avildsen (Rocky) starring Josh Duhamel, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Chazz Palmintieri; "The Invitation" for Sundance Grand Jury Prize Winning Director Karyn Kusama (Girlfight, Aeon Flux, Jennifer's Body); "The Séance" for Sundance Grand Jury Prize winning Director Nancy Savoca (True Love, Dogfight, Household Saints); "Affluenza" for Gotham Award winning Director Kevin Asch (Holy Rollers); "El Lector" for Sundance Grand Jury Prize Winning Director Victor Nunez (Ulee's Gold, Ruby In Paradise) starring Andy Garcia; "The Preppie Connection" for Indie Spirit Award Nominated Director Joseph Castelo (The War Within); and "1982" for Sundance World Cinema Award winning Producer Tommy Oliver (Kinyarwanda).

Steve will select sides based on your picture and resume which you will be emailed and prepare in advance. The intensive starts off with an informative Q & A followed by your presentation of the scene with a reader ON-CAMERA in a group. Be prepared to take feedback and adjustments.

Currently, Steve is interested in meeting talent of all types and ethnicities 18+ for current and future projects. His office is known for calling in actors directly and they've booked too!

This is a wonderful opportunity to be coached by an expert in film!

For the past four years, Steve has worked with casting partner Sig De Miguel at Palm Star Entertainment. Some of their noted projects include Rabbit Hole starring Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart, Adam (Sundance Winner-2009), Veronika Deserves to Die starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, NY casting for the remake of Fame and Holy Rollers. Recent projects include: John Leguizamo's FUGLY, Jack and Diane, The Girl is in Trouble, and Down and Dirty Pictures starring Hugh Dancy and Matthew Perry. Previously, Steve worked with Bonnie Timmermann Casting for over 6 years on HUGE blockbuster movies such as Pearl Harbor, Black Hawk Down, The Insider, Coyote Ugly, Spy Game and Armageddon.
