New! ADVANCED Film Intensive with Justin McCarthy, Writer/Director
Get ready to work as this intensive is structured to fine-tune your film audition skill set and help you book that next role! For this event, Justin will provide you with a variety of scenes to choose from a few days before the intensive. You are to prepare one scene that you feel represents you. For the intensive, you'll start off with a Q&A, and then Justin will begin working with you with a reader, on-camera, in a group format. Be prepared for feedback and adjustments as Justin will coach and critique your work, tweak your material and share invaluable information.
Justin McCarthy wrote and directed the feature films GET WELL SOON (Lions Gate) starring Courtney Cox, Vincent Gallo, and Jeffrey Tambor, and JUMP (released by Arrow) starring Amanda Peet and James LeGros. He is currently in post production for the feature film EL CIELO ES AZUL, which he wrote, and pre-production for two feature films he wrote and will direct-DEAD DEAD DEAD and DAVID, LOLLY, DONNY & DAN.
As an actor, Justin studied at The Neighborhood Playhouse and The Actors' Conservatory, and has recurred on Law & Order SVU in addition to Guest Starring on several New York-based dramas.
As a coach and instructor, Justin has a gift for helping actors bring truth to their performances by helping them connect with what makes their individual interpretations unique. His students are currently appearing on television, in film, commercials, and on Broadway.
