Here's your opportunity to work with one of the busiest Film Casting offices in New York currently casting 5 films. Currently, Donna is casting EXCUSE ME FOR LIVING, a SAG ultra low budget film, casting both union and non-union actors, which begins filming in mid April. Other upcoming films she will be casting include: LIFE'S A BEACH, THE TEDDY MARTIN STORY, MUTTLEY CREW, OPENING NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD as well as numerous cable commercials, webisodes, and infomercials. For this intensive, Donna will select sides based on your picture and resume which you will be emailed and prepare in advance. The evening will start off with an informative Q & A followed by your presentation of the scene with a reader ON-CAMERA in a group. Be prepared to take feedback and adjustments. Currently, Donna is interested in meeting talent of all types and ethnicities 18+ for current and future projects. Her office is known for calling in actors directly and they've booked too! With over 17 years experience in the film and television industry, Donna McKenna is an established international casting director and independent film producer who has worked with many award winning actors from film, television and stage. Donna has been responsible for casting and producing more than 27 independent feature films and 12 short films. She has also been the casting director on numerous music videos, cable commercials, print jobs, internet spots, industrial and webisodes. Donna is the casting director for 4 media production companies too. She is known for discovering unique new talent as well as recognizing the seasoned professionals whom have the desire to take risks and play against type. When Donna is casting a role it does not make a difference to her if an actor is union or non-union, if they have talent and are right for the role she will cast them. To date she has been responsible for 93 non-union actors becoming SAG. Donna is very active in the independent film industry, her activities include a seat on the board of the Long Island Film and Television Foundation as well as being the host of The Film Makers Connection Networking Group. Donna McKenna is an award-winning, international casting director, producer, and educator, with more than 20 years of experience. She has cast and produced independent features, short films, television shows, audio shows, pilots and web series, many of which have received theatrical distribution and can been seen on Amazon Prime, iTunes, Apple TV, AMC, Direct TV and Netflix. Her films have also screened at prestigious films festivals such as The Tribeca Film Festival, Festival de Cannes, Berlin International Film Festival, the Milan Film Festival as well as numerous Oscar Qualifying Film Festivals. She is known for putting together stellar ensemble casts, consisting of critically acclaimed actors from film, television and Broadway as well as new and upcoming talent. Donna is a proud member of the Casting Society of America, New York Women in Film & TV and is a Member of the Board of the Suffolk County Film Commission.
