We're thrilled to welcome Derek who currently works alongside award winning Casting Director Rob Decina.

Derek is currently casting a popular network cop drama. Recent past credits include the pilots of INSATIABLE (Netflix), DYNASTY (The CW), and VALOR (The CW), season two of SHADES OF BLUE (NBC), and the film THE COMEDIAN starring Robert De Niro and Leslie Mann.

For this event, Derek will have received your headshot/resume and "cast" you in a scene which you will receive 1-2 days in advance. You'll start off with a Q&A and then he'll begin working with you with a reader ON CAMERA in a group format. Be prepared for feedback and to take adjustments on the fly.

*** Scenes will be recorded on-camera. As a courtesy, your video clips will be made available to you within a week. An email notification will be sent when the clips are available to view and download from your Actors Connection account. Please note: from time to time technical issues do occur. Derek Hersey is an associate casting director at Kromer Casting. Derek’s previous television credits include season 1 of GOSSIP GIRL (HBO Max), season 1 of RAISING DION (Netflix), season 6 of POWER (Starz), the limited series THE I-LAND (Netflix), seasons 2 and 3 of SHADES OF BLUE (NBC) with Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta, season 1 of INSATIABLE (Netflix), and many pilots including CHARMED, DYNASTY, IN THE DARK, VALOR, SKINNY DIP, and PLAYING DEAD.
