Not only is Judy one of NYC's foremost casting directors, she is a legend in the industry and a truly gifted teacher! With numerous years of casting film, Judy brings a detailed and creative approach to the actor's process and invaluable insight about the industry. She was voted as one of the top 20 CD's in the U.S., an Artios award winner for Hurly Burly and has called in, auditioned, and booked many actors met at Actors Connection!
Currently, she is casting TWO feature/indie films: The Lennon Report and Mapplethorpe plus she THREE upcoming feature/indie films. Recent projects include Sticks and Bones for The New Group and Almost Home for The Directors Company. In addition, Judy's current TV credits include SEASON 6 of HOMELAND.
Current project includes the film An Hour Past A Lifetime. Recent credits include the web series Redheads Anonymous and It's All About Me as well as the off-Broadway play Blood Moon and Death of the Liberty Party for the New Ohio.
For this event, Judy will have received your headshots and resumes and cast you in a scene which you will receive 1-2 days in advance. You'll start off with a Q&A and then she'll begin working with you with a reader ON CAMERA in a group format. Be prepared for feedback and to take adjustments on the fly.
