Here's your opportunity to work with one of the busiest Film Casting offices in New York who is currently casting for SIX films and an Off-Broadway play.
Recent projects include: the indie films NIGHT SWEATS, OILED UP, THE CATALYST, THE NEXT PAGE, SATURDAY IN THE PARK, the pilot LITTLE WEST 12TH STREET and the web series ALMOST ANONYMOUS.
The evening will start off with an informative Q & A followed by your presentation of a scene that Donna will assign you that evening with a reader ON-CAMERA in a group. Be prepared to take feedback and adjustments.
Donna McKenna, CSA, works internationally and has over 15 years experience Casting and producing Award Winning Independent Feature Films, Shorts Films and Web Series. Her ensemble casts consists of critically acclaimed actors from film, television and Broadway such as Eric Roberts, Sean Young, Alysia Reiner, William Forysthe, Larry Romano, Anthony Mangano, Chuck Zito, Lenny Ventio, Lou Martini Jr. James McCaffrey, Jeremy Luke, Sandra Bernhard, Isabella Hoffman, Steven Baldwin, Cathy Moriarty, Robert Vaughn, Brenda Vaccaro, Dan Heyda, Jerry Stiller, Danny Trejo, Christopher Lloyd, Victor Williams, Tony Lo Bianco, Arie Veeren, Wayne Knight, Sandra Bernhardt, Luis Guzman, Keith David, Ernie Hudson, Neal Bledsoe, John Wesley Shipp, Peter Onorati, Melissa Archer, Tom Pelphrey Alysia Joy Powell and Malachy McCourt. Donna strives to discover up and coming talent and in 2013 she proudly discovered teen newcomer Sara Sebastaina, and 2 upcoming actors she met at a industry workshop in NYC and cast them alongside Eric Roberts and Sean Young in the film "Leaves of the Tree" which was filmed on location in Sicily, besides casting this film Donna was also one of the producers.
Other films Donna cast and or produced are: Excuse Me for Living, Tammy, 79' Parts, The Networker, Anonymous Content, West End, Oiled Up, Coach of the Year, A Cry from Within, Confidence Game, Milo & Annie, This Shinning Night, Before I Do, Night Sweats Exiled out East, Porgies & Bass and Saturday in the Park, these films star Donna is currently casting The Next Page, The Catalyst, Purgatory and Crazy Town for 2016 In addition to casting and producing, Donna tours the Globe teaching film and acting classes. In 2013 she was invited to teach a one day workshop at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. She is a longtime guest teacher for the SAG-AFTRA NYCAP program and a speaker on many industry panels, at Film Festivals, networking events and conventions. Donna is extremely passionate about every project, workshop and panel she is involved in.
She is a proud member of the Casting Society of America and an appointed voting board member for the Suffolk County Film & Television Commission. Donna's genuine likable personality mixed with her vast industry knowledge makes her a casting director and producer that many want to work with again and again.
Donna is known for calling in actors directly and they've booked too!
She is known for discovering unique new talent as well as recognizing the seasoned professionals whom have the desire to take risks and play against type. When Donna is casting a role it does not make a difference to her if an actor is union or non-union, if they have talent and are right for the role she will cast them. To date she has been responsible for 93 non-union actors becoming SAG.

Donna McKenna is an award-winning, international casting director, producer, and educator, with more than 20 years of experience. She has cast and produced independent features, short films, television shows, audio shows, pilots and web series, many of which have received theatrical distribution and can been seen on Amazon Prime, iTunes, Apple TV, AMC, Direct TV and Netflix. Her films have also screened at prestigious films festivals such as The Tribeca Film Festival, Festival de Cannes, Berlin International Film Festival, the Milan Film Festival as well as numerous Oscar Qualifying Film Festivals. She is known for putting together stellar ensemble casts, consisting of critically acclaimed actors from film, television and Broadway as well as new and upcoming talent. Donna is a proud member of the Casting Society of America, New York Women in Film & TV and is a Member of the Board of the Suffolk County Film Commission.
