MUSICAL THEATER Audition Master Class with Jason Styres CSA, Casting Director, Binder Casting

Actors Connection is honored to have Jason teaching this ONE NIGHT ONLY Musical Theater Audition Master Class.

For this Master Class, please prepare 2 contrasting songs and bring your book as Jason may want to hear something additional. The evening will start off with a Q & A, and then each actor will perform for Jason using your prepared material in a group format. He will coach, give direction and offer possible recommendations of material to "check out" if what you are currently using doesn't "work".

JASON STYRES is a casting director at Binder Casting, which has cast over 70 Broadway shows. He casts such Broadway shows as the Tony Award-winning Best Musical A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder (Broadway & upcoming National Tour), The Lion King (Broadway and National Tour), and previously Nice Work If You Can Get It, as well as the upcoming productions of Anastasia, Dames at Sea, In Transit, and the upcoming Off-Broadway productions of Trip of Love and Craigslist Cantata. He is also the casting director of the National Tour of Irving Berlin's White Christmas (Randy Skinner, dir./chor.), and the prestigious NY City Center Encores! series, including this season's Lady, Be Good, Paint Your Wagon, and Zorba. He was also the casting director of the three-time Emmy nominated production of Carousel, produced by the NY Philharmonic/PBS. He has also worked on the smash hit television show So You Think You Can Dance and the highly praised HBO documentary Six by Sondheim. He has cast for such directors/choreographers as Darko Tresnjak, Warren Carlyle, Christopher Gattelli, Casey Nicholaw, Kathleen Marshall, John Rando, Josh Bergasse, Marc Bruni, Josh Rhodes, John Doyle, James Lapine, Mark Brokaw, and Randy Skinner, amongst many others. Four-time Artios Award nominee.
