New! DO IT YOURSELF - Auditioning at Home for Voice-Overs - 2 Week V/O Class with Bruce Kronenberg, Abacus Entertainment

Friday, October 16, 2015, 6pm ET / 3pm PT

This event is in the past.

Whether you're working with a V/O agent or you're doing self-submits through services like Voice123 or Actors Access, it's imperative that you learn how to do self-records using your own home studio.

But how do you know IF you're doing your best work since you aren't getting any feedback from a casting director?

How do you know if the QUALITY of your records is matching up to what other voice-over actors are submitting?

How do you know if you're submitting your BEST work as there are hundreds sometimes thousands of takes that are being submitted.

With so many submissions, how do you stand out?

In our new V/O class, Voice-over Pro Bruce Kronenburg will answer all of these questions and show you how to set-up your home V/O studio and start recording your best work!

In your first class, Bruce will introduce you to what gear to get for home recordings and how to submit your best auditions. Even if you already have a home set up - you may not be using it to the best of your advantage. Spending too much time on making an audition sound "technically" perfect is not the optimum way to record a home audition. It's all about capturing a "fresh take". In this first class - Bruce will work with you on your reads so that you will be able to hear for yourself what that "fresh take" should sound like.

In your second class, Bruce will show you how to navigate your way through online auditioning sites with a specific focus on Voice 123 and Voices.com. He will show you how to create a profile, upload audio files and how to get the most out of the site in terms of premium membership vs. regular membership. He will also cover getting paid, creating a strong presence for yourself on the site plus other do's and dont's that come up from using it on a daily basis. If you are already on one of these sites - Bruce will help you optimize your profile and make sure you are getting the maximum usage out of it. Also - Bruce will guide you to recording an audition yourself that will be good enough to send to one or both of the sites and to an agent.

After taking this class, you'll have all the tools you need to DO IT YOURSELF for home voice-over recordings and submitting your best work!

***Bringing your own lap tops and other gear if you have them is highly recommended but not necessary.***

TESTIMONIALS:

"Bruce is clear, concise and fun. Best of all, he's patient! So many questions lobbed at him and he answered them all with humor and sincerity and then expanded on them. Great class!" -Jenni Graham

"I have been doing on-camera commercial work for several years and have been been toying with the idea of doing Voice Overs. Unfortunately, I had received conflicting advice from several sources. Bruce Kronenberg's course cleared up many issues for me. Not only did he straighten out my information about how the business works, but, as an experienced Voice Over actor, he taught me a great deal in a short time about how to modify my own delivery. I highly recommend taking this course." -Barbara Malley
