BOOKING INDIE FILM 5-Week On-Camera Class with Brette Goldstein CSA, Casting Director/Producer

Here's your chance to work with one of NY's top indie film casting directors, teaching YOU the skills necessary to break into this very exciting area of the business!

Currently, she is casting: the feature films THE LOST PRINCE and EXTRA INNINGS, the UNTITLED SECRETS PROJECT for Lifetime, the new NY TV series HELP YOURSELF on USA, and the indie short THE END OF MARA.

Each week you'll polish your film audition technique by working intensively on-camera, performing both cold and prepared scenes from indie features with a reader. The first week you'll work on cold sides. The second week you'll work with a prepared scene from a full script that Brette will have emailed you in advance giving you the full history of your character. The third week a new cold scene and the fourth week another prepared scene that will be emailed to you in advance with full script. The final week, Brette will focus on marketing techniques and the business side of the indie market; including who's who in the industry and tips on how to break in.

Brette's casts for predominately for film, TV and commercials. Past projects include: Hello Lonesome starring Lynn Cohen, James Urbaniak and Sabrina Lloyd, Homecoming, Herman and Shelly, East of Acadia with Chris Sarandon, William Sadler and Rachel Miner, Vivienne Again, With All My Might and Live at Five with Dylan Baker, God Don't Make the Laws with Paul Sorvino, Robert Prescott and Peter Vack, Queen City with Vivica Fox, Buffalo Bushido with Jesse L. Brette Goldstein

Brette has cast six television series (HBO, USA, LMN, Lifetime, History Channel, Investigation Discovery), over 50 independent films, 300 commercials, 100 plays, seven pilot presentations (including “Odd Mom Out” for Bravo) and various new media projects, and was the resident casting director at Washington, DC’s Folger Elizabethan Theatre for ten seasons.

Her recent projects include Season 2 of HBO's THE JINX and a movie for HULU.

Films Brette has cast have won awards and been official selections at most of the major film festivals, including Sundance, Tribeca and Cannes. Brette is the former Co-Producing Director of Washington Jewish Theatre, Production Manager at Washington Shakespeare Co., and Associate Producer of the Washington Theatre Festival.

She is currently working on four indie films in development and some commercials.
